Finally its there, the Google Coral TPU (via USB). Although there was an option for the UM480XT to use a MiniPCIe card, the usb variant was easier to install. Stick added, driver package from the website installed, device added to frigate and the detection framerate git up from 10 to at leas 25 to 30fps. Now there was more room for the cpu to encode the videostreams with ffmpeg and the cpu doesn’t need to run the object detection as well.
